Colorado Gives Day Doubles Donations

All donations made to the Matthew Shepard Foundation will be doubled on Tuesday, December 6 when donated through GivingFirst.org.

Community First Foundation, a Denver-based foundation dedicated to increasing community generosity and involvement, and FirstBank, Colorado’s largest locally owned bank, today announced the return of Colorado Gives Day, an initiative to increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving.

Colorado Gives Day 2011 will take place during a 24-hour period on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011. Donations will be accepted through the online giving website GivingFirst.org starting at 12:00 a.m. on Dec. 6. Community First Foundation and FirstBank partnered last year on the inaugural Colorado Gives Day, which distributed $8.7 million to Colorado nonprofits.
