MSF Trip to Governor’s School for the Arts in Norfolk, Virginia

Susan Burk, the Matthew Shepard Foundation’s Laramie Project Specialist, will visit the Governor’s School for the Arts in Norfolk, Virginia, to observe and experience the student anti-bullying play and program “The Unknown Variable”. Ms. Burk will be there from January 18th-20th to find out more about the school, the similarities between this program and similar projects developed by the Foundation, and ways to be supportive. The play and program tours the district’s middle schools and explores varying aspects and methods of bullying, it’s physical and psychological effects, and how to recognize and combat it.
