MSF Blogger Recognized by Human Rights Campaign

HRC Colorado has announced The 2011 Outstanding Youth Award recepiants, Ace Eckstein and Shea Dietz. The Outstanding Youth Award recognizes the work that a youth has accomplished in working towards goals of social justice. This can happen in a school, community, peer organization, or church environment.

Shea Dietz, a Matthew Shepard Foundation blogger, is also active in many community activities and has a passion for telling the story about the journey of LGBT high school students. He is currently producing a documentary about LGBT high school students entitled “Breaking the Silence: Love, Hope, and Film”.

The awards will be presented at the HRC Colorado Mile High Gala on May 21st at the Grand Hyatt Regency at 1750 Welton Street in Denver. Tickets for the gala can be purchased at MileHighGala.com.

On behalf of the entire Matthew Shepard Foundation organization, Congrats Shea!
