Appearing via video, President Barack Obama welcomed guests to the Matthew Shepard Foundation’s 9th Annual “Bear to Make a Difference” Gala Dinner and Celebrity Teddy Bear Auction on Oct. 16, 2010 at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. His message included a strong call for quality for LGBT Americans and an end to bullying and hate crimes.
