The presumed heterosexuality of historical figures can make it feel like different sexual orientations or gender identities are a new thing or have made a minimal impact on history. Of course, nothing could be further from the truth. From the some of the greatest artists of all time to writers, singers and politicians, this website chronicles the achievements of LGBT people throughout history.
AfterEllen.com and AfterElton.com explore the influence of gay and lesbian people in the entertainment industry. Referring to famous members of the community, Elton John and Ellen Degeneres, these websites coronial the history of lesbian and gay characters and entertainers. Each site has a section for youth and offers a great resource to those who feel like they are underrepresented in entertainment industry.
GayHeroes.com is a helpful way to remember that being gay is nothing new, and that some of the world's most respected figures in the past were queer (even before that word existed). Gaymer.com is a forum for all things LGBTQA and gaming. There are some strictly homophobic members of the gaming community. This forum allows for a place where queer, questioning and allied gamers can come together away from the hatred and bigotry found on some gaming sites. There is even a section for discussion on homophobic remarks that people have experienced on other sites or forums.

Their mission is to try to lower the rate of trans suicide attempts, which some studies have placed as high as 50%. Moderators have taken a youth suicide prevention course and are certified, just like a telephone hotline operator. Your information is confidential and will never be revealed. Therefore they cannot do interventions on your behalf like a hotline operator can.

College can be an expensive prospect, but LGBT leaders can often be rewarded with scholarships to lessen the financial burden of continuing your education and activism. Organized by the Trevor Project, TrevorSpace offers a place for LGBTQ and allied youth to talk in a open and safe environment about issues everyone faces growing up.
YouthResource is a Website created by and for GLBTQ young people. YouthResource takes a holistic approach to sexual health and exploring issues of concern to GLBTQ youth, by providing information and offer support on sexual and reproductive health issues through education and advocacy.
