In the process of being redesigned and set to re-launch in Spring 2007, the Youth Lounge at www.MatthewsPlace.com is an online community and resource for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, questioning (GLBTQ) and allied youth.

Designed to provided young people with both the resources they need to survive in this world and make a difference, the upgraded Youth Lounge will provide a whole new world of resources, from moderated chats and discussion boards to regular columns from notable individuals in the GLBTQ and allied community. Most important, the new Youth Lounge will provide the most exhaustive, updated and regularly maintained list of GLBTQ youth friendly shelters, outreach centers and empowerment programs in communities all across the country so a young person in the most rural or urban of areas will know where they can go for help and information.
